As you may know, school is going to start in a few days now so can't be able to post stuff new every day though, but I will try to do at least 1 Pokemon Card Review every week and also things I'm doing at school.
That's all for now, Laserguy99 out.

Rocket's Moltres ex (EX Team Rocket Returns)
Today's Pokemon Card Review is Rocket's Moltres ex from the Team Rocket Returns set. Moltres has 100HP, a Dark Type and a Basic Pokemon. Dark Lift is a Poke-Body that Moltres has. You know those pesky energies you have to sacrifice in order for that Pokemon to retreat? Well with Dark Lift, if Moltres has any Dark energy attached to it, Moltres' Retreat Cost is nothing. Pretty useful, right? One of Moltres' attacks is called Fire Dance. You need 1 Fire energy and 1 Colorless energy to play it. It can do 30 damage to your opponent's Pokemon and you can search your discard pile for any Fire energy and attach it to any of your Pokemon. Now, Moltres' last attack is called called Combustion which does 50 damage for 2 Fire energies and 1 Colorless energy. That's pretty low for todays standards but hey, it's Moltres ex. Anyway, Moltres has no Resistance, a Weakness of Water, and 2 Colorless energies are needed for it's Retreat Cost unless you use Dark Lift.

Flygon ex (EX Legend Maker)
Today's Pokemon Card Review is Flygon ex from the EX Legend Maker set. It has 150HP, a Stage 2 Colorless type and has pretty nice artwork. Flygon's Poke-Power, Emerge Charge, can allow Flygon to search your discard pile and attach 2 energies to Flygon which is pretty useful since Flygon's Dragon Claw attack takes up FIVE energies! Anyway to be more specific, you need 3 Colorless energies and 1 Grass and Lightning energy. The Base Damage of this attack is 100 which is pretty huge but for 5 energies......That's a lot. OK, screw that attack, it's gonna be a real pain attaching all those energies just for 1 attack. Next up is Reactive Blast for 1 Lightning energy and 1 Colorless energy. You can discard as much energies as you want from Flygon and for each of those energies you discarded, that's a +30 damage you can add to the 40+ Base Damage. Let's do the math OK? So with 5 energies attached to Flygon which could be used for Dragon Claw, which is instead going to be used for Reactive Blast. 40 Base damage, + 3 discarded energies= 130 damage! Take that Dragon Claw! Anyway with a Weakness to Colorless Pokemon, a Resistance of Lightning AND Fighting-30, and 2 Colorless energies for a Retreat Cost, this card is definitely a 9.00.

Shining Gyarados (EX Holon Phantoms)
Today's Pokemon Card Review is Shining Gyarados from the ex Holon Phantoms set. It's a Basic Fire Type with 80HP and 2 attacks. They are called Spiral Growth and All-Out Blast. Spiral Growth has a Base Damage of 20 and needs 1 Fire energy and 1 Colorless energy. Flip a coin and if it;s heads, search your discard-pile for a Basic energy card and attach it to Gyarados. That's pretty helpful since you need 4 Fire energies to play Gyarados' next attack called All-Out Blast. With a Base Damage of 50+, that's a big put-down considering you had to have at least 4 Fire energies attached to Gyarados but it's effect is pretty risky but powerful. So you basically discard ALL of the cards in your deck until you have only 1 card left but for each energy card you discarded, that's 20 more damage added to the 50+ Base Damage you already had. That's a pretty risky move but I recommend you to use this when your opponent only has 1 Pokemon left. Gyarados has a Weakness to Lightning Pokemon, no Resistance and a Retreat Cost of 2 Colorless energies, this card is pretty amazing and the artwork is pretty decent too.
The final rating of this card is 8.5.

Update For 8/21/10
I know this is the time when I do the Pokemon Card of the Day stuff right now but I really have to post a few updates.
- I would NOT be doing Pokemon Card of the Day anymore on Saturday because I have a busy schedule.
- Pokemon Card of the Day is going to have a slight change in the name: Pokemon Card Review.
That's all I have to say, so Laserguy99 out.

Scizor Prime (Undaunted)
Today's Pokemon Card of the Day is Scizor Prime from the Undaunted set. It's a Metal Type with 100HP, 1 attack, and 1 Poke-Body. Scizor's Poke-Body, Red Armor, can prevent all damage done by your opponent's Pokemon if your opponent's Pokemon has any Special Energy attached to it. That's a pretty decent Poke-Body since Scizor only has 100HP. Scizor also has an attack called Metal Scissors which needs 1 Metal and 1 Colourless energy to play. It has a Base Damage of 30+ which means if you reach the circumstances, you can dael extra damage. The circumstances you need to get a bonus for this attack is that for each Metal energy attched to Scizor, you get to deal 30+ 20 more damage. With a Weakness of Firex 2, a Resistance of Psychic- 20, and a Retreat Cost of 2 Colourless energies, this card is pretty average. It does have pretty nice artwork though. This card deserves a 6.5 out of 10.

HS Release! UNDAUNTED
I know the release of HeartGold and SoulSilver Undaunted, was yesterday but since I was out travelling again, I didn't have the time. Anyway, Undaunted is the 3rd set to be released in the HeartGold and SoulSilver series. That means more Pokemon Legends like Kyogre and Groudon and Deoxys and Rayquaza! Other than new Legend cards, there are also new Prime cards as well like Scizor ( which is going to be tomorow's Pokemon Card of the Day,) and Houndoom Prime. There are also going to be new cards. That's all for now!

Salamence (Stormfront)
Today's Pokemon Card of the Day is Salamence from the Stormfront set. It has 140HP, a Colourless type Pokemon, and a Stage 2. Salamence has 2 attacks called Combustion and Steam Twister and 1 Poke-Body entitled Battle Rush. Battle Rush is actually pretty useful since if your opponent has any Pokemon in play including Benched Pokemon that has 120HP or over, any of Salamence's attacks that need 1 Colourless energy or more to play it, you can ignore them and pay the other energies to play the attack. Combustion which is Salamence's first attack need's 1 Fire energy and 1 Colourless energy to play it for a whopping 50 damage! But if your opponent has any Pokemon in play with 120HP or more, you just have to pay 1 Fire energy! Anyway, Salamence's other attack entitled Steam Twister, needs 1 Fire energy, 1 Water energy, and 2 Colourless energy to play it and deal 120 damage! As I explained above, if your opponent has a Pokemon in play with120HP or over, you can skip the crap and forget about those pesky Colourless energies! It does have a catch though. After you play Steam Twister, you have to discard 1 Fire and Water energy. With a Weakness of Colourless+30, a Resistance of Fighting-20, and a Retreat cost of 3 Colourless energies, this Pokemon Card deserves Pokemon Card of the Day and a 9 out of 10.

Houndoom Prime (Undaunted)
I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to post anything new lately because I was so busy travelling and stuff like that. Anyway, today's Pokemon Card of the Day is Houndoom Prime from the yet to be released (although it's only a few days,) Undaunted set. With a HP of 110 and a Stage 1 Dark type Pokemon, this card is pretty decent. The artwork on this card is really nice as well as it's Fire Breath Poke-Power. You can flip a coin and if it lands on tails, the opponent's Active Pokemon gets Burned. That's a pretty sweet effect considering you don't need to discard anything. You can't use this effect if Houndoom is affected by a Special Condition. Now let's move on to Houndoom's only attack entitled Dark Clamp. It only needs 2 Dark energies and 1 Colourless energy to do a Base Damage of 70 and your opponent's Pokemon unable to retreat. Houndoom has a Weakness of Fighting x2, a Resistance of Psychic -20 and only has a Retreat Cost of one Colourless energy! This card deserves a 8.5 out of 10.

Groudon ex (EX Crystal Guardians)
Today's Pokemon Card of the Day is Groudon ex from the Ex Crystal Guardians set.It has 100HP which is really low for a ex Pokemon, a Fighting type, and a Basic Pokemon. Groudon ex has 1 Poke-Body entitled Hard Rock and 1 attack called Power Blast. The Hard Rock Poke-body is actually pretty useful. If Groudon ex has only 1 energy attached to it, any damage done to Groudon ex is reduced by 20 which is pretty useful considering it only has 100HP. It's attack, Power Blast has a Base Damage of 100 and you need 2 Fighting energies and 1 Colourless energy to play it. Although it does 100 damage, you have to discard 2 Energy Cards attached to Groudon ex. With a Weakness of Grass, no Resistance, and a Retreat Cost of 2 Colourless energies, this is an average ex card. I was probably expecting more from this card but from what I see here, this card earned itself 5 stars out of 10.

Tyranitar ex ( EX Dragon Frontiers)
Today's Pokemon Card of the Day is Tyranitar ex from the EX Dragon Frontiers set Since Tyranitar ex is a Delta Species, it should have a different type than it;s usual Fighting type. In this case, it's a Lightning type. Now since that's been taking care of, let's move on to the more important things about this card. It has 150HP, a Lightning type, and it's also a Stage 2 Pokemon. The artwork on this card looks pretty cool because of all those lightning bolts around Tyranitar. it has 3 attacks entitled Electromark, Hyper Claws, and Shock-wave. To play Electromark, you need 1 Lightning energy and 1 Colourless energy. The effect is pretty stupid for all those energies you need to play it. The effect is that you have to put one Shock-wave marker on it. Tyranitar's next move is called Hyper Claws. With 1 Lightning energy and 2 Colourless energies, you could do up to 90 damage if your opponent is a Stage 2 evolved Pokemon. The last attack is called Shock-wave. You need 2 Lightning energies and 1 Colourless energy to play it. You know that Electromark attack where you have to put a Shock-wave marker on it? Yeah, with the effect of this attack, choose any Pokemon that has a Shock-wave marker on it and that Pokemon is now Knocked Out! That is major damage! with a Weakness of Grass, no Resistance, and a Retreat Cost of 3 Colourless energies, this Pokemon is really powerful. I would give it 8 stars out of 10.

Ampharos Prime (HS)
Today's Pokemon Card of the day is Ampharos Prime from the HeartGold SoulSilver set. With 140HP, this Pkemon is hard to beat. It's Poke-Body Conductivity, is pretty useful. Whenever your opponent attaches an Energy card to one of his or her Pokemon, you automatically deal 10 damage to that Pokemon. Since every Pokemon needs at least one energy to do damage, with Conductivity, your basically making your opponent's Pokemon harder to attack you because they're taking damage if they want to use their most powerful attack! Now onto it's attack Lightning Crush. To play it, you need 1 Lightning energy and 2 Colourless energies. The Base Damage for this attack is 40+. That means if you meet the circumstances, you get to deal additional damage! In this case, you have to flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 40+40 damage. That's a whopping 80 damage! Usually attacks that have "flip a coin," in them usually have something bad coming up if it lands on tails but not this one! If it does end up landing on tails, your opponent discards an Energy Card attached to one of his or her Pokemon. That's pretty sweet. Ampharos Prime has a Weaknes of Fighting x2, a Resistance of Metal -20, and a Retreat Cost of 2 Colourless energies. If you guys have any suggestions for the next Pokemon Card of the Day, post a comment!

Charizard ( Arceus Set)
Today's Pokemon Card of the Day is Charizard from the Platinum: Arceus set. This is one of my favourite cards so I decided to put this card up on my Pokemon Card of the Day today. One of the reasons why this is one of my favourite cards is because it has 140HP. Not even Lv. X cards like Staraptor FB Lv. X or Giratina Lv. X have that much HP! You can get this card in holographic version (which looks really decent,) or non-holographic version. The Poke-Body Charizard has is called Fire Formation. This allows you to do 10 more damage for each Fire Pokemon on your Bench. That can do major damage if you use the Burning Tail attack and combine it with Fire Formation. You can do up to 130 damage! Okay, now we're going to talk about it's attacks. First up is Fire Wing. For only 1 Fire energy, you can do 30 damage to your opponent. That's a lot considering you only 1 Fire energy to play it. Now let's move on to Charizard's Burning Tail attack. It has a base damage of 80 and you need 2 Fire energies and 1 Colourless energy. You also have to discard 1 Fire energy attached to Charizard. As I said before, Burning Tail can do up to 130 damage if you 5 Benched Pokemon. With a Weakness of Water +30 and a Resistance of Fighting -20. The retreat cost of this Pokemon is 3 Colourless energies. This card is awesome! I would highly recommend you to add this to your deck!

Staraptor FB Lv.X (Supreme Victors)
Today's Pokemon Card of the Day is Staraptor FB Lv. X from the Supreme Victors set. In case your wondering what a FB card is, it's one of the Frontier Brains Pokemon. Staraptor FB Lv. X has 100HP which is pretty low for a Lv. X Pokemon. It's Poke-Power Fast Call is pretty useful if yuo need to get a certain Supporter Card but you can't just get it. With Fast Call, you get to search your deck for any Supporter Card, show it to your opponent, and put in your hand. You can't use this effect if Staraptor FB Lv. X is affected by a Special Condition like Asleep or Poisoned and stuff like that. It's attack, Defog, needs 3 Colourless energies to play and it only has a Base Damage of 40. That's really low damage for 3 Colourless energies! It's effect is pretty crappy too. With the effect is Staraptor FB Lv. X's Defog attack, it's Base Damage turns to 70 ONLY if you discard any Stadium Card in play. Since all my battles hardly have any Stadium Cards in them, the effect of this attack is basically nothing. It's weakness is Lightining x2 and it's Resistance is only Fighting -20. (Seriously, this card is really weak.) I would NOT reccommend this card in your deck
P.S. Stay tuned for tomorrow's Pokemon Card of the Day! (Charizard from Arceus set!)

Mewtwo Lv.X (Legends Awakened)
Today I really have nothing to write about so I think I'll start that Pokemon card of the Day thing. As you can see above I have a picture of a Mewtwo Lv. X here so you can probably guess tht today's Pokemon card of the day is Mewtwo Lv. X. The first thing you should notice is that it has 120HP which is not so good for a Lv. X Pokemon. It should have at least 130HP. I really like it's Poke-Body Psybarrier. With that Poke-Body, you can prevent all effects of attacks, including damage if your opponent's Pokemon isn't a Stage1 or Stage 2 Pokemon. That effect can be pretty useful if yuor opponent is battling with a theme deck. Now on to it's attack, Giga Burn. You need 2 Psychic energy and 1 Colourless energy to play it. It does 120 damage BUT you have to discard all energy attatched to it. It's going to take a long time to get those energy cards back, but at least you get protected with Psybarrier. It's Weakness is Psychic x2, has no resistance and has a retreat cost of two colourless energies.
If you want this Lv.X card, you can get it from the Legends Awakened set.
Until later, Laserguy99 out

P.S. I know this article is short but hey, as I said before, I'm a newb to blogging and Ican't think of anything to write about. I'lle be sure to write more next time.
